What in the world is Belgian Trough Bowling?
Three lanes of Belgian Trough Bowling make Bath City Bistro the largest such sporting facility in North America. Belgian Trough Bowling is best described as a cross between bocci ball and shuffleboard. Participants try their best to roll wooden discs at a pigeon feather at the other end of a trough shaped lane. The object is to land the discs as close to the feather as possible.
Typically played in teams, the game is sure to foster an element of camaraderie and competition as the wooden discs roll from side to side of the angled lane to their final feathery destination. It’s really a fun time for young and old alike.
Trough bowling lanes are available on two levels of the restaurant. The main level lane is isolated from the dining area in such a way that it is still view-able, yet isn’t a distraction from those who have come to enjoy lunch or dinner. In a similar manner the second level lanes provide good sight lines both to and from the main level. The upper level lanes and eating area are available for private parties.
